AbSec biennial conference
- The challenge
- Three days of opening ceremony, main stage, workshops and evening program, with a comms team that needed usable images while the event was still running.
- Production approach
- We worked from the run sheet, not a generic shot list. Speakers, sponsors, VIPs and the room were planned ahead, each day was delivered as its own gallery, and our crew filmed interviews on site alongside the stills.

Questions
What organisers usually ask.
Can we book photography only?
Yes. Coverage can be scoped for photography without a film.
Can you cover concurrent sessions?
It depends on your timetable and the agreed crew. We can allocate coverage to priority sessions, or scope additional operators separately.
Can you record complete talks?
Full-session recording needs a separate technical assessment. Roving highlight coverage is not the same as recording every talk in full.
Can we get images during the event?
Selected rapid-release images can be discussed as part of the brief, subject to an agreed editing, transfer and approval plan. Turnaround is not guaranteed.
Can sponsors use the content?
Yes, where the intended recipients and uses are agreed upfront and the applicable permissions are in place.
Do you travel?
We are based in Port Macquarie. NSW assignments are scoped around your programme, crew and travel requirements.
What affects the price?
Programme hours, concurrent rooms, crew size, finished outputs, editing, deadlines, travel and usage requirements. Every conference is quoted to its brief.
