Hi, I'm Heather Hilton, founder and creative director of Port Picture Co. I spent years in corporate as a chief of staff before picking up a camera, and that mix of structure and an award-winning design eye is still how I approach every frame.

    01Award-winning designer turned photographer

    My career started in corporate, working as a chief of staff. That's where I learnt to plan, to run things properly and to look after people, and it's why every shoot we do is organised down to the minute.

    I've always been a little obsessed with how things look and feel: composition, balance, light, and the small details most people never consciously notice but always feel. That eye earned me a Good Design Award, Australia's peak international design award, and the way I look after clients was recognised when I was named AIOP Australian Professional of the Year.

    Those standards, a designer's eye and a professional's organisation, are what I bring to every shoot.
